This August get ready for Living History Saturdays!

Learn about our City’s 19th century history at Cherry Hill Farmhouse. These events are free and great for all ages. Take a tour through the Cherry Hill Farmhouse Barn or meet a reenactor. 

Saturday, August 6 – Civilians Under Siege
A living history demonstration of what life was like for civilians during the Civil War. Hear about the work of the Ladies Sanitary Commission along with Thaddeus Lowe’s aerial surveillance. Tours of Cherry Hill Farmhouse are available throughout the day.

Children’s activities include the yard game of “Hoop and Stick” and butter churning.

Looking for something to eat at the event? Stop by the Falls Church Farmers Market which will be be happening simultaneously (outside City Hall, 300 Park Ave.).
