Program Description:
Inspired by Cherry Hill Barn’s tool collection, the Friends of Cherry Hill Foundation hosts its first hands-on woodworking workshop. Participants will spend the day learning a few fundamental skills and will put those skills to work, constructing a simple, fun woodworking project. Participants will use marking gauges, measuring tools, hand saw, hammer, chisel, brace, bit, and hand planes. An instructor will supervise the activity. Participants will work with sharp tools and, at various times, work independently or in small groups. Children 10 and up are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. There is a cost per person.
