FRIENDS TEAS
The Friends of Cherry Hill Foundation hosts teas which are offered on or around select holidays in the early afternoon and are open to the public. Reservations are required. For reservations please call 703.248.5171. Our seasonal teas start with a conversation in the formal 19th century parlor on Mrs. Blaisdell’s role at Cherry Hill Farm before ushering guests into the lovely dining room for a full tea. The tea includes sandwiches, assorted sweets, warm scones, and a bottomless cup of tea. Some of our most popular seasonal teas are Holiday Teas, Valentine’s Tea, and Mother’s Day Tea. Special-themed talks and teas are also offered. Check our events listings for upcoming teas. Fee: $48 per person
MOTHER’S DAY TEA
The Friends of Cherry Hill is hosting a Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday May 12, 2024, from 2-4 pm with an interpreter in 19th century attire. Reservations required. Fee: $48 per person
PRIVATE EDUCATIONAL TEA
Private teas can be scheduled Tuesday through Saturday for groups of 12 or more people. The maximum number is 18 guests. The teas include a conversation in the parlor, a full tea in the dining room, and a tour of the farmhouse. Teas can be scheduled any time between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. with evening availability on a case-by-case basis. For more information call 703.248.5171. Fee: $48 per person
CHILDREN AND SCOUT TEAS
Children will learn about life at Cherry Hill Farm in mid-19th century Virginia, including proper tea etiquette. They will then enjoy a tea party in our lovely dining room and a tour of the farmhouse. This tea is for groups of 12 or more children. Our space is limited to a maximum of 18.
Fees:
Sweet Teas – include assorted sweets, fruit, and tea or lemonade. $20.00 per person.
Full Tea – includes sandwiches, sweets, and tea or lemonade. $35.00 per person.
PRIVATE RENTAL TEAS
The tea experience is perfect for a baby or bridal shower, birthday parties, and many more celebrations! Visitors will have the opportunity to have tea in the historic home and make their own schedule to fit their own needs. Please visit the “Private Rentals” page for more information.
